Does Being Rich Make You Happy

March 30, 2021

Many people will argue that being rich is the key to a happy life. They believe that money can buy happiness. But are they right?

The truth is, numerous factors make up our happiness. More importantly, they vary greatly from person to person.

Why being rich is not a key factor to a happy life

Examples of Professionalism in the Workplace

One of the biggest reasons that people say being rich makes them happy is because they perceive they are living a wealthy lifestyle.

However, this perception is heavily influenced by the media.

The media teaches people about what it means to be wealthy.

They use money and lifestyle as markers for defining what it means to be wealthy. This influence is very powerful.

However, it is the power of the mind that makes this effect much stronger.

Most people are not happy with the fact that they are living comfortably, but they believe they can live a much happier life by being rich.

To get the full picture of why being rich is not a key factor to a happy life, let’s look at some real-world examples.

When Steve Jobs died, he left his entire fortune of $20 million to several charities.

This was the least he could do after having so much success in his life. If anything, his death should have made him happy.

However, this was not the case. Even though he died in a way that he would have wanted, he did not enjoy the thought of leaving a large fortune to charity.

Instead, he spent the last few years of his life worrying about how he would manage his wealth after he died. This likely is what led him to live such a sad life.

If Steve Jobs did not worry about money and worried about finding a cure for cancer, he would have been a much happier person.

But if he continued to live the way he was living, he would likely have been unhappy too.

The truth is, money does not make you happy. Many people do not realize this because they have been brainwashed by the media to believe that they can only be happy if they have a lot of money.

A better strategy is to focus on what makes us happy. Instead of focusing on our desires, we should focus on what is important to us.

This is because what is important to us is different for every person.

It is not enough to have a fancy house. It is not enough to have a nice car.

If we are focusing on the things that are most important to us, we will have more good days than bad.

Being rich is clearly not the key to happiness

We are spending our lives chasing what we want and not living in the moment.

We are constantly thinking about how we could have and not how we are living our lives at the moment. We are living in a highly stressed-out state of mind.

Having more money makes us happy for a few days, but the rest of the time, it is making us less happy.

So how do we enjoy this less important part of our life?

One of the best things we can do to enjoy what is important to us is to live in a state of being.

In this state, we have no other choice than to live in the present moment and enjoy life as it is.

Some examples of how you can do this are:

Spend more time with your family and friends.

Get involved in a community activity. Buy yourself a hobby.

I don’t think it is any coincidence that the happiest countries in the world are also some of the happiest countries to live in.

This is because people do not have to be at the top of their game to live in these countries. They can live a good life simply by living in the present.

In these countries, the population is generally relaxed. If something is not working, they do not think about getting more money.

They do not plan for the future because they think that they have no choice but to be happy. They live in the moment and enjoy their life.

To avoid the stress and worry that comes with being rich, you can simply spend less time thinking about money and more time enjoying what is important to you.

If you have no idea what that is, then do your best to enjoy what is important to you and figure it out.

One of the most important things we can do is to do less thinking and more feeling.

Think about your goals and what you want your life to look like. You should be in a state of being to do this.

But once you get into that state, stop thinking. Don’t do anything. Just be.

Don’t overthink it and do not be stressed. Just sit there in your body and enjoy your life.
