But then what? Will there be another book I want to read? Or maybe a topic I wanted to learn more about? I may just forget this one day, which makes me think I should invest in some basic reading materials instead.

Another thing I learned about myself is that I enjoy creating new things. So when I had enough of reading, I found other ways to develop my talent. I made my own business selling handmade jewelry, designed my own clothes and painted using oils. All of these took me a lot of effort to achieve, but they are still working for me.

Find a community of people who feel the same as you

Finding your passion isn’t an easy task, but it is something that anyone can do. You don’t need to be at a stage where there are no more steps to take before you find your calling to make this happen.

This got me thinking – why not do the same thing with your dream career? Why can’t you be paid money to teach yourself about your favorite field?

I know from experience that learning new skills is one of the best things you can do for your personal growth. So if there was no reward for it, people would probably be doing it anyway.

And if they were being paid for it, maybe more people in your community could learn those skills, which would make you feel better about teaching them.

Find a mentor

Finding your passion is not an easy thing to do, but there are things you can do to help you along the way. One of the most important things that young people struggle with is finding their career or life passion.

This can be tricky because it requires being passionate about something else first. I’ll give you a very simple example.

I knew a kid who was extremely passionate about sailing. He would spend hours every day practicing on his boat and talking about boats for hours on end.

He didn’t really enjoy sailing at first, though. He loved doing it, and he enjoyed talking about it, so he made it his hobby. As time went on, his sailing obsession grew and he eventually took up competitive racing.

Now, this person could actually make a living sailing, but he doesn’t. Why? Because they don’t like spending money while cruising around in boats, and he isn’t willing to do that.

His passion in life is talking about boats, so he talks about them all the time. Now, if someone came to him and asked how to sail better, he would tell them! But if somebody told him that they wanted to learn more about sailing, he wouldn’t try to talk them into it by telling them how much money they could make out of it.

That wouldn’t have been his principal motivator to teach others what he knows.
