A lot of people get stuck in a job they no longer love, or feel that they are wasting their life being surrounded by the same things day after day. It is very common for people in the workplace to stay there because they do not have any other options. They might even keep up with these habits because it feels normal and comfortable to them.
For example, someone who has worked in an office his whole career could be totally unprepared to work outside. Being in an enclosed space with lots of others like him is what he knows how to handle so he sticks with it. He cannot imagine anything different so he does not try.
If you feel this way about something you are doing right now, it’s time to change it. You will need to make a decision if you want to remain in this situation, or if you want to find another position. There can always be new opportunities out there, you just need to look for them.
Finding your passion again takes effort, but it is definitely worth it. Once you know what makes you happy and you are good at it, you will never lack motivation. Learning more about yourself and experimenting with various ways to achieve your dreams is important.

Be more consistent
Consistency is one of the biggest killers for passion in your life. When you lose interest in something, it’s because you didn’t give it enough attention recently. You needed to take a break, but you didn’t.

This could be as simple as telling their friend they don’t want to talk or asking them to leave you alone for an hour so you can focus on something else.
Alternatively, you could do things you both like, such as going to the same movie or bowling night, to find out more about each other under non-work circumstances.
Whatever you choose to do, just make sure it's for a good cause and that you feel able to walk away without too much heartache.
By spending time with people who bring you down, you will lose interest in those individuals and potentially give up on important relationships.
Meditation is a great way to gain motivation and passion for your life. Even if you are not able to sit still for an extended period of time, you can choose a shorter session of mediation every day.
Start with just five minutes of meditation every morning before getting out of bed. Over time, you can increase that amount to 10 or 15 minutes.
You do not need to use any specific technique for meditation. Simply focus on what you have been seeking by thinking about something you want (or need) to happen.

There’s no wrong length of time to spend on meditation unless you make it so.
Learn to laugh
A lot of people get stuck in a job because they don’t know what else there is to do. They spend their days going through the motions, without really living life anymore.
If you are one of these people, you need to learn how to enjoy your time more. You need to learn how to laugh at yourself and at situations that may be frustrating.
Thinking about things that made you feel good and thinking about ways to make fun of yourself can help you find this happiness.
You will also have to acknowledge that some things just aren’t worth investing energy into any longer. By learning to accept things you once cared about, you will start developing self-confidence which is another way to gain inner peace.
There are many ways to learn how to laugh. Try talking with friends about something funny they experienced or read a joke book to hone your laughter skills.
Alternatively, you could watch comedy movies or TV shows or listen to funny music.
Spend time doing things you enjoy
Let’s look at another example. Suppose you want to get back into reading, say, business books. You have to make a decision whether to spend your life in bed watching TV or going out and buying a book and learning something new.
The same goes for anything else – writing, painting, singing, dancing, whatever. If you don’t feel motivated to do it, then what was the point?
You’ll never learn anything if you don’t go outside of your comfort zone, but you also need to choose activities that you will actually like.
If you can’t find yourself spending time doing things you love, then think about why you’re not investing in yourself and see if there are any opportunities to change that situation.
Ask yourself what more you could be doing
If you feel that your career has stagnated, ask yourself why this is. Is it because you’re in the wrong field? Are you in the wrong position? Or maybe you just don’t like your current job enough to do anything about it.
If you can’t figure out what you are not doing, then do something about it! There's no reason to stay stuck in a rut unless you really want to.
It takes a lot of work to get back into the swing of things when your life feels stagnant. But if you want to, there are many ways to do so. You're never too late for second chances in life.
And while changing your career may sound impossible or expensive, it doesn't have to be either of those. Changing careers isn't as hard as some make it seem and there are always alternatives available.
There are several different strategies you can use to change jobs or find new passion. Some are easier than others, but they all require you to put in the effort at least once.
